Welcome to Xi Bai's homepage
I am currently a health data scientist and product engineer working at the UCL Institute of Health Informatics. Between 2013 and 2021 I was working at the BBC Design & Engineering, News Labs and Future Media as a software engineer. Up until 2013 I was a postgraduate student under the supervision of David Robertson, Ewan Klein and Wamberto Vasconcelos at the University of Edinburgh. My doctoral thesis is focused on making the Web evolve into a decentralised environment where user agents can easily form online communities and share knowledge via specifications on reciprocal tasks. Around this work, my research interests are focused on Process-Calculus-Based Coordination, Semantic Annotation, Data Integration & Linked Data, P2P Social Networking and Agent-Oriented Programming.
